9.4.2009 A rest day at BC

Today we spent a rest day. Some of us visited around BC where can be find a lot
of new climbers. Our Sirdar Sonam brought good news about the route over Khumbu
which should be ready tomorrow or a day after. This will mean that we are on
the route no later than Sunday night. Timo stays in Tengboche from where he
starts his trek to BC tomorrow.
We have three Sherpas taking care of our BC basics. Sonam, our Sirdar, has
climbed Everest five times and summited Cho Oyu, Shisha Pangma and Manaslu as
well which all are 8000ers and he has been more than 100 times above 8000
meters. Now Sonam is taking care about our equipments up to BC and down again
and communicate with local officials. Chandrey is our BC chef and make all food
with assistant cook Kedar.
