Today we received both good and bad news. The good new is that we have received, from Mountaineering Association of Tibet, the permit to climb Mount Everest. This means that now we can fully concentrate on the preparations for the trip.

The bad news is that Sir Edmund Hillary, the first person to summit Mount Everest passed away today at the age of 88. As one of the icons of Everest mountaineering we mourn his death and will definitely always remember this particular day.
