Always so friendly Next Hotel Salpaus in Lahti was our host when the expedition had the last meeting before taking off for Kathmandu.  First on Saturday mornig we divided in to two team and while Team Finlandia participated in Finlandia ski Team "Tiirismaa" was trekking around local hills.

As we have seen about the situation in Tibet we did the right decision to move to the South side of Everest. It seems like things go the same way as they did a year ago in Tibet and it would be at least hard to get permits to climb on Tibet's side . Routinely we went through same list of targets of preparation as so many times before and bearing in mind that there can't be too many checks.

Each of us also took a portion of cholera medicin which provides protection against diarrhea as well. In addition we received some equipment updates from Halti, tested communication equipments and practicing use of Olympus cameras.

Now we are looking forward for our departure in lass than two weeks time at 21.03.2009!
